Herd, UTSA Players Join Forces At Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl

Players team for Frisco FastPacs before meeting for dinner
FRISCO, Texas – Marshall and UTSA players may oppose each other on the field on Tuesday night from Toyota Stadium, but they teamed up for a greater cause on Saturday.
Players from both teams joined forces with Frisco FastPacs to provide an important effort to help youth in the Frisco area.
Frisco FastPacs is a community initiative that serves the mission of ensuring no child in Frisco endures hunger when school is not in session. The Frisco FastPacs initiative delivers more than 1,000 meals to children in Frisco every week.
On Saturday, players from both teams organized food items at the warehouse and then packed bags with seven small meals, which will help deliver a week's worth of food to children in need.
After both teams got in a practice session in preparation for Tuesday's 9 p.m. matchup at Toyota Stadium, they each joined together at the National Soccer Hall of Fame Club for a dinner and fun competition, which included a live, on-stage version of Family Feud and a Madden 24 Challenge.
Those events came after a first day in which Marshall's team arrived at the team hotel around 4:15 p.m. CT (5:15 p.m. ET).
From there, the team went to Toyota Stadium's Winner's Club where they were treated to a Welcome Texas BBQ Dinner and Gift Suite, administered by the bowl. Each player received cowboy hats upon arrival.
There, players got to enjoy authentic Texas BBQ while choosing from an assortment of gifts as part of their bowl package to serve as mementos of playing in the 2023 Scooter's Coffee Frisco Bowl.
What's Next
On Sunday, Marshall and UTSA will again be united when they take part in a Team Event called "Fowling" at the Fowling Warehouse DFW.
Fowling is a hybrid game growing in popularity in Texas that combines the aspects of football, bowling and horseshoes. The object of the game is to be the first team to knock down all their opponent's pins.
Following that 1 p.m. event, Marshall will head to practice at Toyota Stadium's practice fields, which are located just beyond the stadium. Upon arrival back at the team hotel, players will have the opportunity to design their own bowl duffle bag or backpack.
