Marshall doesn’t drop a set to EKU
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University tennis team (5-4) picked up a 7-0 sweep over the EKU Colonels (4-7) on Wednesday evening at 7827 Tennis Center in Barboursville.
"It was good to win today," Herd tennis head John Mercer said after the match. "It was a tough loss at Illinois. It was good to get some practice in and bounce back against EKU. Looking forward to playing our first Sun Belt Conference match."
Marshall did not drop a single match or set to the visitors from Richmond, Kentucky. The Herd dominated the second in all six matches with no Colonel taking more than two games in any second set.
Strom moved to a perfect 8-0 in singles this spring.
