Herd Swimming Closes Out Action at CSCAA NIC

Three top-10 finishes on final day
ELKHART, Ind. – The Marshall University swimming team concluded action at the CSCAA National Invitational Championship on Saturday.
"I am really proud of how this group competed this weekend," Herd swimming and diving head coach Ian Walsh said. "Coming off of our conference championships a little over two weeks ago poses its unique challenges in preparation for a meet of this caliber.
"Last year we placed 30th overall out of 56 teams. Tonight we finished 22nd out of 67 programs, finishing ahead of five teams from the SEC and Big Ten."
"We had three all-time top-10 performances (Audrey West - 7th 200 Breast 2:17.82 / Madeline Hart - 9th 100 Free 51.24 / Eszter Laban - 10th 200 Free 1:51.41). Paige and Eszter also had Top 10 performances tonight while our relays put together some impressive showings over the last three days."
"This was a wonderful ending to the season. We're looking forward to returning in a couple weeks after a well-deserved break to build upon the success of this season."
