Herd Tennis Continues SBC Play with Pair of Road Matches

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University tennis team (8-5, 2-1 Sun Belt) goes on the road for a pair of Sun Belt Conference matches this weekend with a contest at Georgia State (1-10, 1-1 Sun Belt) on Saturday with a match at Troy (8-4, 1-2 Sun Belt) on Sunday.

Johanna Strom is 11-1 during the spring season in singles and is 9-3 at number one doubles with partner Emma Vanderheyden.

The doubles pairing of Rieke Gillar and Gabrielle Clairotte sport an 8-2 record in doubles this spring.

SCOUTING GEORGIA STATE
The Panthers are 1-10 this spring.

GSU is 1-1 in conference play after falling 4-1 to Coastal Carolina last week.

SCOUTING TROY
The Trojans are 8-4, including a 1-2 record in SBC action. They fell 4-0 to Georgia Southern last week.

Kristina Kukaras is 8-3 this spring at number singles for Troy.

Hagar Amin and Kukaras are 7-1 as a doubles pairing at number two doubles.
