Marshall's Emily McLatchey Moves Into Top-20 at SBC Championship

Sophomore fired Even-par 72 on Monday; Herd still in 11th

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Marshall sophomore Emily McLatchey fired an Even-par 72 on Monday to move into the top-20 at the Sun Belt Women's Golf Championship at LPGA International Hills Course.
McLatchey had one of just eight rounds of par or better on a tough day at the Hills Course. She is currently tied for 17th place, just eight shots off the lead.
McLatchey carded two of Marshall's only three birdies as a team on the day as the course showed its teeth on moving day at the SBC Championship.
No team shot under par as a group and only two teams shot less than double-digits over par on Monday.
Louisiana-Monroe was able to limit mistakes the best, shooting 5-over as a team on the day to move three strokes ahead of day-one leader Texas State.
Final round action gets underway at 8:45 a.m. off Holes No. 1 and 10 on Tuesday morning.
