Herd Swimming and Diving Unveils 2023-24 Schedule

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University swimming & diving team released its 2023-24 schedule on Friday.

"We are really excited about our schedule this season and becoming members of the Sun Belt," Herd S&D head coach Ian Walsh said. "Our main goal is to prepare our women for the conference championships in Orlando. We have added several multi-day competitions throughout the fall and spring to prepare the team for what they will be working through in February."

MU opens its schedule with its annual Green and White Meet on September 30 during Homecoming Week at 11 a.m. before going to the West Virginia Games in Morgantown, West Virginia, October 6 and 7.

The Herd has another pair of home meets on January 6 and 27 against Bowling Green and Toledo, respectively.

"The team is excited for the schedule and look forward to showcasing our group later this month at our Green & White Meet," Walsh added "The staff was intentional on keeping our schedule open in October to maximize our training block this fall. From a competition perspective, it is great for our state to have WVU and Marshall sharing the pool deck and competing against one another as we kick off our meet schedule in Morgantown. Purdue will be a good indicator for us to wrap up our fall semester and prepare our training camp. Heading into our peaking phase, we'll have quite a bit of racing through January as we put the final touches before SBCs."
