Program’s “We Are Wednesday” partnership earns special celebration
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall women's soccer team were honored at the Cabell County Board of Education's meeting Tuesday for the team's partnership with the local schools.
The following is an excerpt from the Board of Education's Proclamation:

We Are...Marshall Women's Soccer to Elementary Schools
During the 22-23 school year, the Marshall Women's Soccer team visited all of our elementary schools to offer high fives and encouragement to students as they began their day. Students and schools enjoyed the exciting start to the school day and appreciated getting to meet and visit with the ladies of the soccer team.
We look forward to expanding this program in the coming year to create more intentional opportunities for the student athletes to partner with our schools and students.
Thank you to Coach Swan, Assistant Coach Roberts, and the ladies of the MU Women's Soccer team. We look forward to our continued partnership.

The women's soccer program will continue its partnership with the local school system, with team members dividing into small groups to work extensively within the different schools.
