CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University tennis team closed out day two of Thunder in the Mountains with a perfect 4-0 record on Saturday.
"Our doubles performed better today," Herd tennis head coach John Mercer said. "It will be good to get more singles matches tomorrow and they should continue to improve just as our doubles has improved."
In doubles, the pairings of Emma Vanderheyden/Doroteja Joksovic, Rieke Gillar/Andjela Lopicic, Sophia Hurrion/Aisling McGrane and Emily Schut/Gabrielle Clairotte combined to give up just five games across the four matches.
Vanderheyden also took her singles match over WVU's Love-Star Alexis and Gillar swept Cleveland State's Sim Tounsi in straight sets.
