Marshall picks up five wins on first day

CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Marshall University Tennis team opened the Fall at the UC/Pam Whitehead Invitational in Cincinnati, Ohio, on Friday with five victories.
In singles against Miami (OH), Emma Vanderheyden and Aisling McGrane each picked up straight-sets wins with Sophia Hurrion taking her contest in a super tiebreak.
The Herd then swept Cincinnati in doubles with Hurrion and Vanderheyden coming out victorious with Nel Van Hout pairing with McGrane for a win at her first collegiate event.
