Kelsheimer fourth Diver of the Week honor, Luniushina second Swimmer of the Week award

NEW ORLEANS – The Marshall University Swimming and Diving team's senior Grace Kelsheimer and Kseniia Luniushina swept the Sun Belt Conference Swimming and Diving weekly awards for the second straight week, as announced by the league office Thursday.
Kelsheimer captured her fourth SBC Diver of the Week award of the season with Luniushina being honored as Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season.
Kelsheimer, a native of Westlake, Ohio, took the 1m Diving event with a score of 307.05, just missing the Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium record by .38 of a point, as Marshall defeated James Madison, 196-103, in Saturday's dual. The senior also took second in 3m Diving with a 282.23.
Luniushina, a native of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, swept both individual swims and was a member of the winning 400 Medley Relay and 200 Freestyle relay this weekend against the defending SBC Champions, JMU. The freshman led off the 400 Medley Relay with a 54.45, her second-fastest 100 backstroke this season. Her first individual race was the 50 Freestyle, winning with a time a 23.46. Luniushina then kicked off the second half of the meet with a lifetime best performance in the 200 Backstroke with a winning time of 2:01.14, Marshall's ninth-fastest performer in program history. Her final swim of the meet was the 2nd leg of the 200 Freestyle Relay (23.41) marking the second fastest time this season.
Marshall heads to the Meet of Champions in Indianapolis, Indiana, from November 21 to November 23 for its midseason meet.
