HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Men's Basketball team (3-1) heads to West Lafayette, Indiana, for the team's first road game of the year against the No. 6/6 Purdue Boilermakers (5-1) on Saturday. Opening tip is scheduled for Noon at Mackey Arena.

PRE-GAME NOTES
- The Herd finished a four-game homestand with an 83-62 win over the Bellarmine Knights on Saturday.
- Nate Martin and Jaleen Speer each registered a 20-point scoring game in the win with 23 and 20 points, respectively.
- Martin was named the Sun Belt Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday for his efforts in Marshall's wins over Bellarmine and Southern Indiana. The senior leads the team with 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
- Dezayne Mingo leads MU with 5.0 assists per game after recording eight with no turnovers in the win over Bellarmine.
ABOUT THE BOILERMAKERS
- Purdue is coming off it first loss of the year, 76-58, at No. 15/15 Marquette on Tuesday.
- The loss came after it took a contest over then-ranked No. 2 Alabama, 87-78, on Friday at home.
- Trey Kaufman-Renn leads the Boilermakers at 17.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per contest.
- At 9.4 assists per game, Braden Smith ranks third in the nation.
- Purdue sits 10th nationally in three-point percentage at 43.8 percent.
