Herd Swimming and Diving Wins Over FIU Outdoors in Miami

MIAMI, Fla. – The Marshall University Swimming and Diving team (3-1) opened its training period in Florida with a 179-121 win over FIU (2-3) Monday in the elements in Miami.
"I thought we did a great job of competing tonight," Marshall Swimming and Diving Head Coach Ian Walsh said. "We talked about supporting one another and focusing on our approach to racing."
Marshall picked up 11 victories in the 16 events against the Panthers. Paige Banton and Grace Kelsheimer picked up multiple individual victories for the Herd.
"We had some great performances and got out of our comfort zone. Winning 11 of 16 events was impressive against a strong FIU squad. We're looking forward to a productive training camp and prepare for January."
