Marshall Swim and Diving Heads to Northwest Ohio

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Swimming and Diving returns to the pool for a pair of duals in Northwest Ohio this weekend. The Herd is set for duals at Toledo Friday at 5 p.m. and at Bowling Green on Saturday at 11 a.m.

This is the team's first dual meet since it was in Miami, Florida, on December 16th for a dual at FIU. The Herd defeated the Panthers for the first time in program history, 179-121.

For their efforts at the meet, Paige Banton was named the Sun Belt Swimmer of the Week with Grace Kelsheiemer being named the conference's diver of the week.

Banton had three individual event wins in the 100/200 Breaststroke (1:05.10 / 2:20.86) and the 200 Individual Medley (2:09.70). The Canadian swimmer was also a member of the second-place 200 Medley Relay team with the fastest 50 Breast split (29.50) in the event.

Kelsheimer excelled on the boards again for The Herd. The senior diver won the 1m with a score of 288.98 and the 3m with a mark of 276.60.
