CHICAGO, Ill. – The Marshall University Tennis (8-3) number one doubles pairing took down Northwestern's 48th ranked pairing of Christina Hand and Justine Leone on Friday.
"It was a good win for JoJo and Emma," Herd Tennis head coach John Mercer said after the match. "They keep improving, which is good to see."
The Herd fell on the road, 7-0, to the Wildcats.
"We had our chances today, just didn't do a good job of finishing," Herd Tennis head coach John Mercer said after the match. "Credit to Northwestern. They just played better today."
In singles, Vanderheyden, Sophia Hurrion and Rieke Gillar each took their matches to three sets.
