Merritt’s Discus Performance Wraps Up Herd's 2023-24 Season

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Marshall's track and field 2023-24 season concluded with Rebecca Merritt throwing 48.93 meters Saturday at the NCAA Championships East First Round
The season saw four individual Sun Belt Conference championships (Abby Herring: Indoor and Outdoor 5K; Kylee Mastin: Indoor Mile and Outdoor 1500), four NCAA Championship First Round Qualifiers, as well as countless personal and school records fall under the direction of first year Director of Track and Field Keith Roberts.
"I was proud of all the women who competed this week," Coach Roberts said. "They are four of the best athletes in school history at one of the best meets in the country against some of the highest level of competition. I am really proud of them for giving it their all on the track and in the ring."
