Track and Field Announces 2024 Signing Class

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Director of Track and Field Keith Roberts and the Marshall T&F coaching staff announced its largest signing class in program history.

The Herd has to date signed 39 total athletes (26 male, 13 female) to its 2024 class, spanning from National Signing Day on Nov. 8, 2023 through June 2024.

"We are very excited about our incoming class! Recruiting is the lifeblood of any program, especially when you are building from the ground up," Coach Roberts said. "This was the first full year of men's track and field at Marshall in two decades and although we have some great student-athletes in our program, we were in need of some depth on both the men's and women's teams."

"I challenged my staff to work harder than ever and the results were tremendous. We were able to recruit some of the best student-athletes in the nation as well as the region. We signed some of West Virginia's top student-athletes while bringing in student-athletes from Ohio, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, South Carolina, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Canada. We signed numerous state champions, New Balance Nationals competitors and a World U20 Championship qualifier. I believe that this class combined with our current student-athletes will be the building block for success. We will have a team focused on being good members of the community, great students and champions on the track, the field and in the classroom. The future is bright for Marshall Track & Field and Cross Country."
