Four Herd S&D Student-Athletes Named CSCAA Scholar All-Americans

Banton, Kelsheimer, Laban, Warner earn distinctive honor

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Swimming and Diving program had four student-athletes named 2024 CSCAA Second-Team Scholar All-Americans.
Seniors Paige Banton and Eszter Laban, junior Grace Kelshiemer and freshman Molly Warner earned the distinctive honor from the CSCAA.
To be named a CSCAA Scholar All-American, the student-athlete must maintain a 3.5 GPA and have achieved an NCAA "B" standard time or have participated in a diving zone qualifying meet.
Banton set the SBC Championship and program record in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:01.36 for an NCAA "B" standard and finished the 200 Breaststroke in a program record time of 2:12.75 on January 27 in a dual against Bowling Green to achieve Scholar All-American status.
Kelsheimer qualified for the NCAA Diving Zones in the 1m with a score of 307.60, a program record, and in the 3m with a score of 301.85. Kelsheimer was the first NCAA Zone Championship finalist on 1m in school history for The Herd.
Laban qualified for the honor with a time of 4:16.40 in the 400 Individual Medley at the SBC Championships in March for an NCAA "B" Standard.
Warner's NCAA "B" Provisional Standard came in the 400 Individual Medley with a time of 4:17.06 at the SBC Championships to become a Scholar All-American
