Marshall Volleyball Continues Season at Rocket Invitational

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Volleyball team (5-1) heads to Northwest Ohio for the Rocket Invitational this weekend in Toledo, Ohio. The Herd is scheduled for matches against Northern Kentucky, Eastern Washington and Toledo.

Friday Sept. 13 vs. Northern Kentucky – 10 a.m.
Friday Sept. 13 vs. Eastern Washington – 4:30 p.m.
Saturday Sept. 14 at Toledo – Noon

PRE-MATCH NOTES

Marshall went a perfect 3-0 at the EMU Tournament last weekend.
Brynn Brown was named MVP at the event registering a pair of triple-doubles and a double-double across the three matches.
At 105 digs, Peyton Neal ranks 44th in the country.

SCOUTING NORTHERN KENTUCKY

The Norse enter the weekend with a 2-4 record.
Lucy Claxton sits 29th in the NCAA with 4.95 digs per set this season.

SCOUTING EASTERN WASHINGTON

The Eagles come into the Rocket Invitational with a 1-4 record after falling in a pair of matches to Washington State last weekend.
Eastern Washington ranks 30th in digs per set at 16.84.

SCOUTING TOLEDO

The Rockets are coming into the event after falling to Iowa State, Illinois and Wake Forest last weekend in Ames, Iowa.
Toledo ranks 16th in Division I volleyball at 2.32 aces per set with Taylor Alt recording 10 in the team's first six matches.
