HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Women's Basketball opens its 2025-26 regular season Monday evening at 6 p.m. from the Cam Henderson Center against Buffalo.

COACH JULI FULKS
- Head Coach Juli Fulks is in year two leading Marshall's Women's Basketball program. Fulks came to the Herd with a prestigious 400 wins while leading Transylvania to the 2022-23 DIII National Championship.
- Fulks and the Herd set a program record with four postseason wins in its run during the 2025 Sun Belt Women's Basketball Championship.
PREGAME NOTES
- The Herd returns eight players from a season ago. Among the leaders in returning production is senior Meredith Maier, who was named Preseason All-SBC Third Team last month.
- Six newcomers join MU - including four transfers and two freshmen. Of the four transfers, the lone senior is Timaya Lewis-Eutsey. The transfer from VCU was a 2023-24 All-Atlantic 10 Third Team selection, averaging 12.9 PPG and 5.9 rebounds per game.
- Marshall has been picked eighth in the SBC Preseason Coaches Poll.
- Assistants Patrick Herlihy and Cassie Lastivka are new to the sidelines for the Thundering Herd in 2025-26. Mykasa Lucas, Kennedi Stacy, Brianna Ellis, and Laken Ball are among the full-time returning staff.
ABOUT THE BULLS
- Buffalo won 30 games in 2024-25, en route to winning the WNIT Championship. The Bulls however return only two players from last season.
- Head Coach Kristen Sharkey makes her debut as leader of UB Monday. The former Syracuse associate coach was a Buffalo assistant for seven seasons.
- Marshall leads the all-time series, 11-5. Monday will be the first matchup between the two sides since the 2004-05 season as conference foes.
