Women’s Hoops Travels to Indiana for First Road Contest of 2025-26

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Following a pair of victories to open the 2025-26 season, Marshall Women's Basketball (2-0) travels to historic Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall to face the Indiana Hoosiers (2-0) Tuesday evening. Tip from Bloomington is at 7 p.m. on B1G Network+.

COACH JULI FULKS
- Head Coach Juli Fulks is in year two leading Marshall's Women's Basketball program. Fulks came to the Herd with a prestigious 400 wins while leading Transylvania to the 2022-23 DIII National Championship.
- Fulks and the Herd set a program record with four postseason wins in its run during the 2025 Sun Belt Women's Basketball Championship.
PREGAME NOTES
- The Herd returns eight players from a season ago. Among the leaders in returning production is senior Meredith Maier, who was named Preseason All-SBC Third Team last month. Fellow senior Blessing King leads Marshall with 10.5 rebounds per contest through the Herd's opening two games.
- Six newcomers join MU - including four transfers and two freshmen. First-year guard Olivia Olson leads the Herd in scoring with consecutive 14-point performances.
- The Herd is +5 in the turnover margin, forcing its opponents into 23 takeaways per game so far in 2025-26. Senior Timaya Lewis-Eutsey leads the way with six steals.
- Tuesday's game will be the first of a big week for the Herd. Marshall will host Kentucky from the Cam Henderson Center Saturday at 1 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOOSIERS
- Indiana has opened its 2025-26 campaign with a pair of home wins over Lipscomb and UIC. Senior guard Shay Ciezki is averaging 28.5 PPG after her 35-point performance Friday.
- Head Coach Teri Moren is closing in on her 450th win overall as a head coach, and 250th with the Hoosiers.
- The two sides will meet for the first time since Jan. 3, 1981. IU leads the all-time series, 3-1.
