Marshall Men’s Basketball to Host Lipscomb on Wednesday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Men's Basketball team (5-1) is set to close a three-game home stretch Wednesday afternoon in the Cam Henderson Center against Lipscomb. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m.

PRE-GAME NOTES

The Herd captured a 69-60 win over Mercyhurst on Sunday night.
Marshall leads the Sun Belt Conference in assists per game (19.7), three-point percentage (40.0 percent) and threes made per game (12.0). MU ranks 26th, 25th and 11th, respectively, in the nation in each category.
Jalen Speer sits seventh in the country with 41 assists while adding 13.8 points per game.
Matt Van Komen is averaging 12.8 points per contest as he ranks second nationally in field goal percentage at 78.0 percent.

Lipscomb is coming off an 83-62 win over Western Carolina on Saturday.
The Bisons drained 16 threes in victory over the Catamounts.
Lipscomb sits second in the country making 83.3 percent of its free throws and takes the sixth most threes per game at 34.5.
Mateo Esmeraldo has 38 assists this season, 16th most in the NCAA.
