Herd Men’s 4x100 Relay Team Breaks School Record from 2001
3/22/2025 4:51:00 PM | Track and Field
\CORAL GABLES, Fla. - Marshall Track & Field set its second school record of the weekend with its Men's 4x100 relay team of Wyatt Milhoan, Joey Bloebaum, Samari McCord, and Isaiah Valentine racing a 40.93.
The previous record was 40.99 set in 2001. Ironically a second Herd relay team of Ethan Bowens, Jonathan Owusu, Micah Coates, and Chris Swint finished directly behind with a time of 40.95 to also take down the mark.
The school records highlight a day with four individual wins, four additional top collegiate finishes and 48 total top-eight finishes.
"I'm extremely proud of our teams effort this weekend," Director of Track & Field Keith Roberts said. "There are some key attributes I look for in recruiting and three of those were glaring this weekend. One, I want supportive teammates. We were the loudest team at the meet. Marshall Pride was on full display among our team as well as in the stands. We had local families and family from far away who were out in full force."
"Second, Great people. It's become commonplace for people to compliment our team and how they carry themselves. We were told by an administrator at the host school that we are always welcomed back and they were impressed with our sportsmanship and how we carried ourselves."
"Third, fearless competitors. Our kids didn't shy away from high level competition. They competed against Olympians and professionals and one of the best Power 5 programs in the NCAA and put up great results."
"But we have to build and not get complacent. We are a young team and I can see us growing. It was definitely a good start to outdoor season!"
