JONESBORO, Ark. – The No. 67 Marshall University Tennis team (15-4, 4-3 SBC) concluded a perfect road weekend on Sunday with a 4-1 win over the Arkansas State Red Wolves (11-7, 4-3 SBC) in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

"Today was a good grind out win. We're ready for three straight matches at home," Herd Tennis Head Coach John Mercer said.

Sophia Hurrion and Aisling McGrane made quick work at No. 2 doubles with a 6-1 victory. Alina Mokrynskaya and Emma Vanderheyden then triumphed 6-3 at No. 2 to seal the doubles point.

In singles, Vanderheyden continued her momentum with a straight sets win, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 2.

After a loss to No. 5, Johanna Strom answered with a 6-2, 6-3, straight sets win at No. 1 to make 3-1.

Hurrion then grinded out a straight sets victory with a second-set tiebreak, 6-3, 7-6 (5), to seal the road match
