Marshall Tennis Continues Fall at Thunder in the Mountains

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Tennis team looks to continue the fall this weekend at the Thunder in the Mountains in Charleston, West Virginia, Friday through Sunday.

Dates: Friday, September 26 – Sunday, September 28
Location: Charleston, West Virginia

Marshall sees Alina Mokrynskaya, Johanna Storm, Nour El Ouazzani, Paula Berzina, Sarah Copley, Thalia Smith, Katy Limanen and Meredith Riley take the courts in Charleston at the event.

Mokrynskaya was the Pam Whitehead Invitational Singles MVP going a perfect 3-0 at the event last weekend in Cincinnati.

Thunder in the Mountains is set to be played at Schoenbaum Tennis Courts with the YMCA Kanawha Valley courts providing an indoor backup in case of inclement weather.

SCHEDULE THUNDER IN THE MOUNTAINS
Friday, September 26:
9 am-10 am: Warm-up
10 am: First Round Matches
1:30 Second round matches and 1st round backdraw

Saturday, September 27:
10 am: Warm-up
11 am - Main Draw - Round of 16 & Back draw 2nd round
1:30 pm - Main Draw Quarterfinals and Back Draw Quarterfinals

Sunday, September 28th:
10 am warmup
10:30 am Semifinal for main and backdraw
1 pm Finals for main and backdraw
