Marshall Women’s Soccer Match Abandoned Due to Severe Weather

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall University Women's Soccer (4-1) had its match abandoned due to severe weather impacting the Huntington area Friday evening. Its contest against Fairmont State (0-0) has been declared a no contest with no makeup.

The match started in a 35 minute weather delay to lightning. The two sides played 40 minutes of game action and although the statistics do not officially count, Bailey Fisher scored a goal for the home side.

The Herd returns to action at Hoops Family Field against WVU on Thursday, Sept. 11 at 7 p.m.
