STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Marshall University Tennis team (7-7) ended its trip to New York with a 4-0 sweep at Wagner on Saturday.

"Thanks to Wagner for hosting us. Good to get back in the win column. Looking forward to the next one," Herd Tennis Head Coach John Mercer said.

Polina Gumeniuk and Sarah Copley made quick work at number two doubles with a 6-0 win as Johanna Strom and Alina Mokrynska quickly followed with a 6-3 win at number one to clinch the doubles point.

Nour El Ouazzani and Paula Berzina were leading 4-3 at number three as their match went unfinished.

In singles, Thalia Smith didn't drop a game with a 6-0, 6-0, straight sets triumph at number six. El Ouazzani took her match 6-1, 6-1, at number with Gumeniuk winning 6-3, 6-1 at number two to complete the sweep for MU.
