Kochan Leads Herd After Day One At 2026 SBC Women's Golf Championship

POINT CLEAR, Ala. – Marshall's Olivia Kochan leads the Thundering Herd after Day One of the 2026 Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship at The Lakewood Club in Point Clear, Ala.
Kochan shot a 3-over 75 on the first day, placing her in the Top 25 following the first round of action at the Dogwood Course at The Lakewood Club. She currently sits in a tie for 22nd.
The senior from Dallas, Texas, notched her lone birdie on the day on the par-5, 16th hole.
Kochan joined teammate Abbey Bull as Herd players in the top 10 in the tournament field in pars for the first round – both with 13.
Second round action for the Herd is slated to begin at 10:30 a.m. ET on Tuesday morning.
