NEW ORLEANS – Marshall Track & Field had nine athletes named to Sun Belt All-Conference teams on Tuesday, its most as a program since joining the league.

As champion in Long Jump, Lara Check earns SBC First Team All-Conference for the second time in 2026. The senior is now a three-time All-Conference member after garnering Third Team accolades in outdoor season last spring. Check is in position to qualify for the NCAA East First Rounds next week in Kentucky.

The Herd earned four additional Second Team All-Conference marks from there, including by way of Gabriel Urraca's silver medal. Urraca - a transfer for the Herd in 2025-26 - was one of two SBC athletes to surpass 18 meters at the championship event. Urraca's 18.08 meter throw was one of five school records Marshall set last week in Mobile.

A second school record came from the Women's 4x100 Relay Team, which earned SBC Second Team All-Conference after its silver medal performance. The team of Iniya Charlton, Emma Henry, Bay'Andria Hodges, and Lakesha Smith raced a time of 44.67 to podium at the Championships.

The third school record mark which also produced an All-Conference performance was in the Triple Jump from Otenidi Omot. An event which the Herd has excelled in all season saw two All-Conference marks with Omot's Second Team All-Conference performance of 15.64m, earning silver medal. Cam Hamby earned Third Team All-Conference with his 15.57m jump.

Sophomore Myah Boze had a breakout performance at the Championships, most notably earning Second Team All-Conference with her personal record time of 58.96 in the 400m Hurdles. Boze additionally scored in the 100m Hurdles, and as part of the 4x400m relay team.
