Marshall’s Evynn Richard Names Peyton Anderson As Assistant Coach

New STUNT assistant coach joins Herd after All-American career at Kentucky
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall STUNT coach Evynn Richard has named the first assistant coach in STUNT program history for the Herd.
On Thursday, Richard announced the addition of Peyton Anderson as Marshall's assistant STUNT coach.
"Peyton is the cream of the crop when it comes to assistant coaches," Richard said. "She has not only played STUNT at the highest level, but she also has family ties to Marshall, as her brother played baseball here in 2021. From our very first conversation, Peyton has gone above and beyond to embrace the Herd Mentality and help bring the vision we share for the STUNT program to life.
Anderson comes to Marshall as an assistant coach after competing for the University of Kentucky from 2022-26 where she advanced to the STUNT National Championship in all four competition seasons.
"I'm honored to be a part of the inaugural year for Herd STUNT," Anderson said. "We are hungry to create a winning culture and start a lasting legacy at Marshall! I am eager to see how far we can take this program and transcend the game for years to come!"
While at Kentucky, Anderson was a two-time Division I STUNT All-American, won two conference championships in 2025 and 2026, earned Rookie of the Year in 2023, Veteran of the Year in 2024 and was also named Miss Kentucky STUNT in 2026.
"We are incredibly lucky to have her here in Huntington with us, ready to make history. Peyton's knowledge of the sport, combined with her unique perspective as a former athlete, makes this coaching staff one of the best around. I'm so excited for Herd fans to experience what she brings to the program in Spring 2028."
Anderson earned her Bachelor's degree in Health Promoting with a minor in Coaching from Kentucky in Spring 2026.
