2022 Conference USA Academic Medalist: GPA 3.75 or better
2022 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll: GPA 3.00 or better
AS A JUNIOR (2020-21)
No fall season due to COVID-19. As a junior, Liz finished with the best singles record in the 2020-21 season. Playing in 12 of 15 singles matches, she finished with a record of 7-5. Her overall doubles record for the year was 5-7, playing in 12 of 16 competitions. Stefancic was also named Conference-USA Scholar Athlete of The Year for the 2020-21 season. This was her first time being named Scholar Athlete of The Year for C-USA. She holds a 3.95 overall GPA as a bio-chemistry major. Liz is a three-time recipient of the Academic Medal for maintaining a GPA of 3.75 or better. Prior to this past season, she and sophomore Jutte Van Hansewyck were ranked No. 30 in the ITA Division I Women’s Preseason Top 60 Doubles. She was also one of nine of her teammates to be named ITA 2021 Scholar Athlete. Stefancic was a member of the 2021 team that earned the Conference USA Sport Academic Award and ITA All-Academic Team.
AS A SOPHOMORE (19-2020)
Liz pulled off two single wins during the fall season. During the spring. Liz competed in all but one of the Herd’s matches. She collected 10 wins in the singles matches. She was clutch in giving Marshall the victory over Middle Tennessee. She led the team with doubles wins with a record of 14-7. She surpassed a huge feat after defeating the No. 3 ranked Martinelli and Gong (Yale) alongside Jutte Van Hansewyck. She was also named All-Conference Doubles First- Team alongside Van Hansewyck. The team was named an ITA All-Academic Team and she was named an ITA- Scholar Athlete. She also received a Commissioners Academic Medal and was on the Commissioners Honor Roll.
AS A FRESHMAN (2018-19)
Posted 13 combined (singles and doubles) spring wins ... Finished the season with eight singles wins, playing all across the middle of the Herd's lineup ... Won her first career singles match against a ranked opponent against North Texas (Mar. 2) ... Won Conference USA singles matches against North Texas, Middle Tennessee and UAB ... Paired with Madi Ballow to form the Herd's No. 2 doubles pairing, earning Conference USA wins over Middle Tennessee and UAB ... Had a six-match singles win streak during the month of March, the longest win streak of any player on the team during the season ... Posted a 6-6 singles record during the fall season ... Reached the first round of the ITA Atlantic Regional singles bracket after having to go through qualifiers ... Reached the second round of the ITA Atlantic Regional doubles bracket ... Five of her six wins during the fall season came in straight sets ... Reached the semifinals of the Hokie Fall Invite ... Defeated opponents from West Virginia and Penn State ... Named to the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll ... Recipient of the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal.

PERSONAL: She is the daughter of Amy and Tom Stefancic and has one sister Emily. Her mom was a swimmer at Gettysburg College and her sister played Tennis for Northern Illinois University. She chose Marshall because of the atmosphere that the players and coaches created on the team.
