All-Sun Belt Conference First-Team Doubles
Produced a 22-13 singles record and a 19-11 doubles record, including 15-10 with Johanna Strom…went 7-4 in singles during SBC play with a 7-3 doubles record at number one doubles with Strom…key singles victories came over a pair WVU opponents, two Virginia Tech foes and a win over an opponent from Louisville…key doubles victories came over duos against Virginia Tech, Louisville and Northwestern.

All-Sun Belt Conference First-Team Doubles
Produced a 13-17 singles record and a 18-12 doubles record, including 18-11 with Johanna Strom…went 5-5 in singles during SBC play with a 6-3 doubles record at number one doubles with Strom…key singles victories came over WVU, Liberty, Kentucky and Cincinnati…key doubles victories came over duos against Virginia Tech, Penn State, VCU and WVU.

C-USA Women's Tennis Player of the Week (Jan. 26)
14-10 record during at number one singles and went 16-8 on court one in doubles…was ranked as high as No. 67 by the ITA with doubles partner Liz Stefancic during the season.

PRIOR TO MARSHALL: Emma comes from Lummen, Belgium, where she played 6 years of tennis and has won an ITF (International Tennis Federation) title in doubles.

PERSONAL: She is the daughter of Jan Vanderheyden and Veerle Minten. Her father is fiancial director and her mother is a travel agent. She has an older brother named Wout Vanderheyden, who is a student at the University of Leuven in Belgium. She has hopes of becoming a professional tennis player after Marshall. Her birthday is 03/29/2003.
