2023 Sun Belt All-Conference First Team
2023 (Sophomore)
GP/GS: 55/55 …Took a major step forward as a sophomore in 2023, starting in all 55 games in the outfield, playing the majority of games in the leadoff spot ... Finished as the conference leader in hits with 79, a number that also ranked fifth-nationally ... Scored 61 runs, a number that finished one-shy of the program record ... Stole 42 bases, a number that finished sixth nationally ... Finished with a .427 batting average, a figure second in the conference behind teammate Autumn Owen.
2022 (Freshman)
2021-22 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll: GPA 3.00 or better
GP/GS: 30/17 … Speedy outfielder and slapper … Appeared in 30 games with 17 starts Finished season batting .324, 11 hits, 14 runs scored, 4-for-4 in stolen base attempts, four RBI and three walks … Three games with two hits … Two game with two RBI and one game with two runs scored … Tallied 13 putouts in the outfield playing mostly leftfield, did play some in centerfield … Made collegiate debut in left in the fifth inning versus Villanova (Feb. 11) at the Buzz Classic hosted by Georgia Tech … Earned first career start versus Howard (Feb. 25) and tallied first career hit, drove in two runs, walked twice, scored two runs, stole one base and had three putouts in the outfield...In final game of the season went 2-for-2 with a stolen base in game one win at WKU (April 22)
High School: Attended Southwestern Randolph High School … As a senior, hit .682 with an on base percentage of .714, recorded 30 hits, 23 runs, 14 RBI, four doubles, three triples, one home run, 15 stolen bases and struck out only twice … Was named a 2021 Mid Piedmont Conference Player of the Year as well as 2021 First Team All-State … Helped lead her team to the postseason, finishing first in conference her sophomore campaign, batting .520, .540 on base percentage and scored 24 runs … Played club ball for the Carolina Cardinals … In her 2020 season with the Cardinals bat .400, scored 33 runs, 16 RBI, and 15 stolen bases Also lettered in volleyball as a sophomore … Off the field involved with Beta Club all four years and a student government officer … A straight-A student in high school all four years, was named to the Academic All-Conference team.
Personal: Born June 2, 2003 … Daughter of Rusty and Carrie Coleman … Has a younger brother Cam who attends Southwestern Randolph High School … Father played baseball at High Point University in the 1990’s … Chose Marshall because, "When I came up for a visit it felt like home. Everyone made me feel super welcomed. The community is one like no other. The town loves the school and lives for the athletics. Yes, Marshall has a great football program, but the softball program is well respected at Marshall as well. I am very excited to see what coach Smith Lyon, coach Lyon and coach Holub will do with the program in the upcoming years."
