GP/GS: 52/51 …Named Herd's first Preseason Player of the Year ... Led the team with 60 hits with a .339 average, good for second on the team ... GP/GS: 53/53 …Had a complete breakout season, exploding in every offensive category on the way to earning First Team All-Conference and First Team All-Region (making her eligible for All-American status) ... Hit a team-best .394 (5th in SBC), with 69 hits (7th in SBC), 19 doubles (2nd in SBC) and 48 RBI, tied atop the SBC at the end of regular season with teammate Bella Gerlach ... Tied atop the league lead In hits (37) SBC games only, led with doubles (11), SLG (.988), and runs scored (27) in conference-only games ... Had 22 multi-hit games with 19 games with two hits, two with three, and a four-hit game against Coastal Carolina (Apr. 20) ... Had three games with multiple home runs ... Provided energy and spark on both sides of the ball, hitting her first career home run against Morehead State on Mar. 2 ... Hit a second home run in a game-tying scenario at ULM on Apr. 8 ... 2021-22 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll: GPA 3.00 or better
GP/GS: 7/0 … Energetic athlete who made seven appearances, mainly as a pinch runner, before a knee injury caused her to miss the remainder of the season … Scored two runs … Had one stolen base and one walk … One putout during brief appearance at second base … Made collegiate debut as a pinch runner against Villanova (Feb. 11) at the Buzz Classic, scored run on fellow freshman’s Lauren Love’s first career hit to get Marshall on the scoreboard in the fifth using speed to cross the plate from second base … Scored again in the next meeting with Villanova (Feb. 12), touching home in the third off an error in right … Also pinch ran against Saint Joseph’s (Feb. 12), at Coastal Carolina (Feb. 18), versus Fordham (Feb. 20) and against Kent State (Feb. 25) … Late game substitution at second base versus Howard (Feb. 26) at the Camel Stampede, had one putout on defense, drew a walk in lone plate appearance and then stole second base on first steal attempt of career … Game against Howard was last of the season.
High School: First attended Westwood High School from 2017-18 and then attended and graduate from Red Mountain High School (2018-21) … Picked up many accolades in 2021 including Female Scholar Athlete, Defensive Player of the Year and Second Team All-State … During senior season she hit .397, 27 hits, 20 runs, 21 RBI, four doubles, six triples and three home runs … Was off to a great start in junior season before being cut short due to COVID-19 with eight runs, three doubles, one home run and seven RBI in just nine games … In high school career hit .365, 97 hits, 75 runs, 65 RBI, 15 doubles, 12 triples and five homers … Has several former teammates playing collegiately across the country … Also played varsity badminton … Helped club team to a PGF Premier berth driving in the winning run, came to the plate with runners at 2nd and 3rd and two outs.
Personal: Born April 9, 2003 … Daughter of Eric and Alysan Ulrich … Has two older siblings Mason and Colton who both attend Arizona State … Chose Marshall because, "I love the idea of living somewhere completely different than where I live now. The opportunity to live in a place with all four seasons is very exciting. The culture that the coaches and players have created drew me to the school." … Plans to major in biomechanics with a concentration on pre-physical therapy.
