Taniesha Sturdavent was named the Head Cheerleading Coach in April of 2021. Prior to being hired as the head coach, Sturdavent was the Assistant Cheerleading Coach at Marshall for one year.Â
Sturdavent previously held an assistant coaching position at Winfield High School and was a tumbling instructor at Famous Superstars.
She has many cheerleading accolades including Nancy Pelphrey Herd-Village Scholarship Recipient, NCA Cheerleading Nationals Finals, 2018-2019 West Virginia AA Regional Champions, 2018 West Virginia AA State Champion, Bid to 2020 Cheerleading Worlds Competition.

She graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education/Special Education in 2018.

She is originally from Hurricane, West Virginia.
