2023 (Graduate Senior): Competed in all six meets as a senior, most notably qualifying for the NCAA Cross Country Championships, becoming the first woman in Marshall cross country history to accomplish feat ... Set new personal and school bests in the 4K, 5K, and 6K ... Opened season winning the Virginia Tech Invitational, racing a 13:51.6 ... Would win Thundering Herd XC Invitational in next meet ... Finished sixth at Live in Lou Gold Race ... Finished second at Sun Belt Championship, racing a 16:49.2, a new personal and school record, earning First Team All-Sun Belt for second-consecutive season and for the fourth time in career ... 2021 (Junior): Competed in all six meets for Marshall in 2021, setting three personal records....opened season with 4K time of 14:41.0 at Virginia Tech Invitational...raced an 18:13.0 at Virginia Invitational for a 15th place finish at first 5K of season....won the Louisville Classic with a PR of 17:45.7....scored a 7th place finish at VertCross, racing a time of 18:09.1...became the first two-time All-Conference award winner in program history with a 9th place finish at C-USA Championships, racing a 6K PR time of 21:30.3....finished record-breaking season at NCAA DI Atlantic Region Championships with a 54th place finish and a time of 21:55.6.

2020 (Sophomore): Competed in two meets for Marshall in the shortened season … became the fifth Herd women’s runner in program history to earn All-Conference USA honors, when she placed on the second team with a 14th place finish at the conference meet … her 6K time of 22:12.3 was a personal record … began her season with a 10th place finish at the Blue Ridge Open dual meet at Appalachian State with a 5K time of 18:46.4.
2019 (Freshman): Competed in 6/6 meets for Marshall as a freshman…she was the top finisher for the Thundering Herd at the final two meets of the season, setting a 5K PR at the Conference USA Cross Country Championships (18:42.0) in a 40th place finish, and ran a 6K time of 22:14.5 at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals in a 105th place finish…had a top individual finish of 8th at the Winthrop Adidas Invitational when the Thundering Herd won the meet … named to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll and awarded the C-USA Academic Medal for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better.
High School: Attended Parkersburg South High School … Ran for coach Brian Blanc … Finished in fourth place in cross country 2015 AAA State Meet … 2015 TRAC Champion … Named All-OVAC and TRAC four times … Honored as first team all-conference in OVAC and TRAC meets as well as first team all-region … Four-time state qualifier … 5K PR of 18:56 … Was a four-time state meet qualifier in track as well … Involved with Drug Free Clubs of America and the National French Honors Society.
Personal: Born January 27, 2001 … Daughter of Jeff and Karen Herring … Has one older sibling, Alex, who attends WVU … Chose Marshall because, “I loved the campus and atmosphere. I also wanted to stay fairly close to home.” … Plans to major in communication disorders.
