R-JUNIOR Season (2009)
A pre-season All-Conference USA selection at tight end...nominated for the Allstate Good Works Team and a candidate for national honors in 2010...named honorable mention All C-USA last season dispite playing along-side Mackey Award Semi-Finalist Cody Slate who is now with the Kansas City Chiefs...team captain who is a tremendous blocker and receiver...Smith finished 2010 with 23 catches for 335 yards with most of those totals coming after Slate suffered a season ending injury against Southern Miss.
R-SOPHOMORE Season (2008)
Started 7-of-12 appearances...outstanding blocker and receiver...finished sixth on the team in receptions (12) and receiving yards (89)...recorded six catches for 53 yards against Wisconsin...tallied two receptions for 15 yards against Memphis...registered two catches for a total of 10 yards against West Virginia...made two tackles.
R-FRESHMAN Season (2007)
Saw significant action in his first season with Marshall on special teams and at tight end...started along with Cody Slate in the New Hampshire game...caught two passes for nine yards in a backup role with Slate and senior Brian Shope...returned a short kickoff 10 yards at UCF and improved on his blocking throughout the season.
REDSHIRT (2006)
Sat out due to NCAA transfer rules...started collegiate career at Tennessee.
High School
Fox Sports Net 2005 All-South Team...Had 21 receptions for 420 yards and six touchdowns during senior season...started at tight end and defensive end at Powell during senior season.
Personal
Father, Daryle, played on the offensive line at the University of Tennessee and spent six years in the National Football League playing with the Cowboys, Browns and Eagles before spending four years in the CFL...majoring in criminal justice...received the Cam Henderson Scholarship in 2010 and has a 3.2 grade point average with a double major in psychology and criminal justice...Lee and his wife, Alisha, have two children - son Brody and daughter Amanda.
