Jacob Smith enters second year as a graduate assistant with the Thundering Herd basketball program, but enters his sixth year with the program, having served as a student for the past five seasons. Smith graduated from Marshall in May, 2016 with a bachelor's degree in sports marketing and with a minor in entrepreneurship.
A Charleston, W.Va., native, Smith is earning his master's in adult technical education.
