Attended Scott County HS and was coached by Billy Hicks...Kentucky Mr. Basketball runner-up as a senior and a first team All-State selection...named Region 11 Player of the Year...averaged 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.5 steals...led Scott County to Kentucky state title his senior year and was named MVP of the Sweet 16 Tournament...named to Sweet 16 all-tournament team for his 18.0 ppg and 46.2 percent shooting with 24 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals in the four playoff contests...region champions in 2004 and 2007 and district champs all four seasons...finished in the top-25 in the state in scoring and 3-point field goals...three-year starter...shot 91.3 percent from the free-throw line as a senior, second in the state...played in the Kentucky-Indiana All-Star Game, a two-game series, and averaged 16.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
