Member of the three-time AAA state champion Huntington HS basketball team...named an All-State selection as a senior...scored 12 points in Huntington[apos]s 42-point win over South Charleston in the 2007 state title game...averaged 10.4 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.4 blocks per game...part of a starting five that all went on to play collegiate basketball, including O.J. Mayo (USC), Patrick Patterson (Kentucky), Mike Taylor (W.Va. State) and Jamaal Williams (U. of Charleston)...played AAU basketball for the West Virginia Heat, winning four state championships...coached by Lloyd McGuffin...awarded the Promise and Presidential Academic Scholarships.
