2014 (Senior): Started 51 of her 56 games played in 2014. Batted for a .241 average on the season. Collected 28 hits, 21 RBI, 13 runs and 4 home runs in 2014. Was able to reach 45 total bases on the season. Finished the season with a .388 slugging percentage, .331 on-base percentage and .934 fielding percentage. Successful stole all 3 attempted stolen bases. Collected a career high 3 hits in 2 games in 2014, vs Middle Tennessee on April 5th and North Texas on April 12th. Hit first career triple against Northern Kentucky on April 9th. Reached a career high 6 stolen bases against North Texas on April 12th. Hit a career high 3 RBI against Ohio on April 23rd. Collected 2 walks Middle Tennessee on April 6th. Named to 2013-14 Conference USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
2013 (Junior): Started behind the plate in 17 of 26 regular-season appearances... She hit .150 with a .250 slugging percentage and a .984 fielding percentage... Against Robert Morris on March 2, Winton went 2-for-2 with two RBI, cleared five total bases, hit a double and a home run... She earned Conference USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
2012 (Sophomore): Appeared in 34 games with five starts...hit a grand slam against St. John[apos]s Feb. 24 during the Citrus Classic...had a two-run double against Bucknell March 3 during the Marshall Invitational...picked up RBI[apos]s against Chattanooga and Ohio as she was hit by pitch and drew a walk in bases-loaded situations...was named to the C-USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll for academic performance.
2011 (Freshman): Was a part of 42 games, most among all newcomers...started in 13 games, all as the designated hitter...brought in 11 runs on the season...smacked a home run in her first appearance with the Herd against South Florida Feb. 11...named MU Athlete of the Week Feb. 16...a member of the C-USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
High School: Team captain for three seasons at Todd Beamer High School under coach Dave Abrahamson...led the Titans to its first post-season as well as being tops on the team in homeruns, hits and RBI...a three-time Federal Way All-City Team honoree at catcher...a four-time time South Puget Sound League Team selection...finished her softball career with a .420 batting average and .463 on-base percentage...was also a letterwinner in basketball.
Personal: Daughter of Steve and Christine Winton...has one sister, Kristin (31) and one brother, Andrew (22)...majoring in sociology.
