SENIOR SEASON (2024-25):
Emily finished her senior year with a pair of top-25 finishes and one top-5 finish while serving as the Herd's leader in scoring average at 76.1 for the 2024-25 year in 30 rounds of action. Emily provided the Herd's top individual finish of the year when she went 72-71-73 at the RiverTowne Invitational to finish T-2 at Even par. Emily also earned a T-23 finish at the UNCG Invitational in which she opened the event with her best round of the fall - a 1-under 71. Also finished the Cardinal Cup with a 1-over 73 in tough conditions and closed out her career with a T-28 finish at the 2025 SBC Championships.

JUNIOR SEASON (2023-24): The leader and captain of Marshall's team, Emily competed in all 10 events for the Thundering Herd, finishing with a stroke average of 74.5. Emily had Marshall's best finish and lowest round of the year in the 2023-24 season. Emily finished T-1 at The Atlantic Invitational with scores of 73-69-70 to go 1-under. She had five birdies in each of the last two rounds of the tournament and was the lone competitor to go under-par in each of the final two rounds as well. The following tournament, McLatchey notched the lowest round for a Marshall golfer on the season when she carded a 3-under 68 in the GCU Invitational. At the 2024 SBC Championship, McLatchey finished T-23. In Fall 2023, McLatchey earned the distinction of being the only player on Marshall's team to compete in every event and have every round (15) counted toward the team score. Recorded three top-15 finishes on the season and developed a reputation as the finisher, boasting of a final-round average of 73.4, which led the Herd. McLatchey notched her season-best rounds of 71 in the final rounds of the Jennifer Duke Invitational and the Butler Fall Invitational, leading Marshall to 2nd and 3rd place finishes as a team respectively in those events. Her top finish came in the season finale at the FBCI Invitational when she finished 11th. Recorded 32 birdies in five events in fall. For the year, McLatchey finished in the top-25 in six of the 10 tournaments in which she played.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2022-23): For the year, Emily competed in all 10 events, logging 29 rounds on the season while leading Marshall with a 74.5 stroke average. Out of 10 tournaments in which she competed, she finished in the top-10 in four events and in the top-25 in eight events. Her best finish of the 2022-23 year came at the River Landing Classic in Spring where she went 72-72-73 to finish 1-over and earn runner-up honors in the tournament. She also had a T-2 finish at the Butler Fall Invitational,a T-5 finish at the Grandover Fall Classic and a T-10 finish at the Jennifer Duke Invitational in the fall to add to her top-10 finishes. Her best rounds were a pair of 1-under 71 performances - one at the Pirate Collegiate Classic in the fall and the final round of the GCU Invitational in the spring.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2021-22):
2022 Conference USA Academic Medalist: GPA 3.75 or better
2022 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll: GPA 3.00 or better
Emily competed in seven events, logging 21 rounds in her first season at Marshall. Her top performance of the year was a T-18 finish at the Grandover Fall Classic to end the fall season. Emily scored a season-low 1-over 73 at the River Landing Classic with four birdies in the final round. Also finished 24th at the Conference USA Championships. Led Marshall with a T-27 finish at the First Coast Classic. Recorded 20 total birdies for the season.

HERD FILE: Emily played golf at Winter Park H.S. and was team captain junior and senior years, winning the 2019 Central Florida East Metro Championship with a 1-under par. She was also the 2019 Florida 3A Region Champion after a 3-under par performance. Emily also finished 6th at FSGA Girls Junior Amateur Championship and was 2nd at the 2020 AJGA Palmer Showcase. She is the daughter of Corrina and George McLatchey. Emily chose Marshall because, “I always knew I wanted to play golf at a collegiate level, so I began my college search with that in mind. With COVID-19 presenting many problems, I put a priority on choosing a school with a program and coach that seemed welcoming. Coach Burkhammer made me really excited about playing at Marshall, and as I was welcomed in by my teammates and school staff, I knew it was the correct fit.” Majoring in Marketing.
