Julie Freeman
Julie Freeman is as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Thundering Herd and was hired in March of 2018. She currently works with the women's soccer team.

Prior to arriving at Marshall, Freeman served as an athletic trainer at Ortho Montana in Billings Montana working with the area's college and high school athletes covering events, working with AMP performance programs and a physician extender in an orthopedic office. Before that, she was the  Head Athletic Trainer at a few local schools, South Point High School (2015) and Symmes Valley High School(2016)  while also being a physician extender in an orthopedic office during the day . She also was interim Athletic Trainer at Shawnee State in Portsmouth, Ohio that same year.

Freeman, born and raised in Huntington, West Virginia, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Marshall University in 2015. While at Marshall, she served as a student athletic trainer with teams including tennis, football, baseball, and spent her senior year working all sports at Kentucky Christian University her final semester.  Freeman is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and a Licensed Athletic Trainer in Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia.
