Kevin Schenk has joined the Marshall University women's soccer program as an assistant coach, Head Coach Michael Swan announced March 26, 2023
.
"Throughout the search we were looking for a coach with the qualities and enthusiasm we want in our program," Swan said. "We wanted someone to work with our goalkeepers and be able to break down film with the team among other attributes and Kevin has absolutely shown us all of those characteristics. We no doubt found the right person for the job and we are looking forward to getting started!"
Schenk - who joins the Herd after most recently working as the goalkeepers coach for the Indiana University women's soccer program - will work with all facets of the program, in addition to the goalkeepers.
"I am very excited to be joining the program and to help our goalkeepers and outfield players grow," Schenk said. "Marshall checks a lot of boxes in regard to the direction the program is heading and the type of staff and players I want to work with. Thank you to Coach Swan and Coach Roberts for the opportunity to be a part of the staff, I can't wait to get started with the team."
In addition to his two-year stint at IU, Schenk has served as a head coach and assistant coach at various high school, club, and ODP levels for the last seven years. Schenk was a member of two NCAA Tournament teams as a goalkeeper himself at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
