Following one of the most decorated playing careers in Marshall women’s soccer history, Erika Duncan returned to the Thundering Herd program as an assistant coach in 2013.
A four-year letterwinner at forward from 2007-2010, she holds the MU record for most career goals (23) and is second in school history with eight game-winners. In 2009, she tied for most consecutive matches with a goal (four). She has the third-most career points (54) and posted back-to-back campaigns with the second-most goals scored in a season (nine in 2008 and 2009).
Other accolades include All-Conference USA second team (2009, 2010), C-USA Player of the Week (2008, 2010), National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) all-region second team (2010), NSCAA Scholar all-region honorable mention (2009), C-USA All-Academic second team (2009) and C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll (2007-10).
Prior to Marshall, Duncan played for the Scottish women's national team at the U17 and U19 levels and was a squad player for the full national team.
After she graduated with a bachelor's in exercise science in 2011, Duncan continued her career at Marshall by pursuing a master's degree in sport administration, graduating in May 2013. During graduate school she worked as a personal trainer at the Marshall Campus Recreation Center.
Duncan has been working with the West Virginia Soccer Club girl's academy since 2011. She is the U10 head coach and assists the U14 girls team. She holds a U.S. Soccer D Coaching License.
