2010-11 (Junior): Notched career-best times in the 50 freestyle against Ball State with a time of 25.39, 500 freestyle in the C-USA Championships with a time of 5:14.46, and 1000 freestyle against Akron with a time of 11:05.64....season best times: 100 freestyle (55.44), 200 freestyle (1:59.40), and 100 butterfly (1:00.29)...was named to the 2010-11 Conference USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
2009-10 (Sophomore): Notched a career-best in the 50 freestyle at Xavier with a time of 25.86...season best times: 100 freestyle (54.93), 200 freestyle (1:59.33), 100 butterfly (59.21) and 200 butterfly (2:18.34)...was named to the 2009-10 Conference USA Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
2008-09 (Freshman): Notched top-10 MU-best times in the 100 freestyle (5th, 53.27), 200 freestyle (5th, 1:53.89), 100 butterfly (4th, 57.85) and 200 butterfly (9th, 2:14.06)... All were recorded at the C-USA Championships except the 200 butterfly, which was at the Miami Invite.
Prior to Marshall: Was a 2007 Georgia State Champion ... Earned All-American honors in the 400 freestyle relay ... Northview HS record holder in both the 200 and 400 free relay ... A four-year state finalist and letterwinner at Northview ... Also a member of Swim Atlanta club team.
Personal: Full name is Megan Joyce Demeter ... Born May 25, 1990 ... Parents are Laura and Mike Demeter ... Has one sister, Nicole ... Graduated from high school with a 3.9 GPA ... Was a member of the National Honors Society, the French Club and Fellowship of Christian Athletes...majoring in nursing.
