2022 Conference USA Academic Medalist: GPA 3.75 or better
2022 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll: GPA 3.00 or better
AS A SOPHOMORE (2020-21)
No fall season due to COVID-19. In her sophomore season with the Herd, Kara participated in 1 doubles competition and 1 singles competition. She won both matches to finish 1-0 in singles and 1-0 in doubles. Named as one of the ITA 2021 Scholar Athletes which is given to student-athletes with a GPA of at least 3.5 for the current academic year and was a member of the Herd team that earned the Conference USA Sport Academic Award and ITA All-Academic Team.
AS A FRESHMAN (19-2020)
Kara participated in five singles sets and two doubles sets during the fall. During Kara’s first spring season with the Herd she competed in five matches and had a big win against NIU in the MLK Invitational held at Indiana University. She competed in five doubles sets with a 4-1 record, three of which were at the MLK Invitational at Indiana University. The team was named an ITA All-Academic Team and she was named an ITA- Scholar Athlete. She also received a Commissioners Academic Medal and was on the Commissioners Honor Roll.
PRIOR TO MARSHALL: Kara was the Valedictorian of her high school and a four-year varsity starter for her high school tennis team.
PERSONAL: She is the daughter of Mike and Diane Joseph.
