Appeared in five matches … Played in 10 sets … Finished season with three digs, one ace and one assist … Made collegiate debut vs. Coppin State (Sept. 20) playing in two sets and recording first career dig … Had one dig and one ace in sweep of Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 20) … Recorded one dig against No. 19 Rice (Oct. 18) … Also played at Charlotte (Oct. 4) and at UTEP (Oct. 25).

High School: Attended Cabell Midland High School (W.Va.) … Played for coach Julie Brumfield (mother) … Helped lead team to the West Virginia Region IV Championship … Finished senior season as the state runner-up after falling in the championship game and was named to the West Virginia State All-Tournament Team … Two-time all-state selection honored on the Second team in 2017 and First team All-State in 2018 as a senior … Three-time West Virginia MSAC First Team All-Conference selection (2016-18) … Honored as a Wendy’s High School Heisman selection following senior season … 12-times named a tournament MVP from 2015-19 … Played club volleyball for River Cities and was the team captain for six years (2014-19) and were named Super Regional Champions in 2016 … Club team were the Nashville Music City Qualifier Champions (2019) … Played in the North/South All-Star game in 2018 (Beckley, W.Va.) … Was also a varsity softball player for two years in high school … Heavily involved in clubs, organizations and volunteering her time including student body secretary, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Young Life, Huntington City Mission, Teen Summit and the Beulah Ann Youth Group … Honored with the Cabell Midland Citizenship Award (2019) and the Barboursville Rotary Club Student of the Month (2018) … Lists making the state championship match in her senior year as her favorite moment in athletics, “My teammates and I worked so hard to make it to the stat championship, and although we came up short, I will always be grateful for that experience and getting to share it with my mom as my coach.”
 
Personal: Born December 11, 2000 … Daughter of Steve and Julie Brumfield … Has two older siblings … Brother Michael is a Barboursville Police Officer and sister Jenny works for the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital … Jenny also played one season (2014) for the Marshall softball team appearing in 25 games and scoring 11 runs … Comes from athletic family as brother Michael played football for WVU Tech … Aunt is Jeanne Noble Lunsford who played softball two years at Morehead State and then helped start softball program at Marshall starring for the Herd in 1994 and 1995 and is a member of the Marshall Athletics Hall of Fame … Uncle is Greg Lunsford who played football at WVU Tech and pitched in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization for the GCL Pirates in 1988, struck out 18 batters in 22 innings pitched and had a 3.68 ERA in 10 relief appearances … Uncle P.J. Noble played football at Marshall and Concord University … Chose Marshall because, “Growing up near Huntington to having many family members before me attend Marshall, it has always felt like home to me. I have always loved how involved the community is with Marshall and how so many locals ‘bleed green and white’. The future of Marshall volleyball is bright as we are setting a new culture for this team that will stand for many years to come. The new coaching staff is tremendous, and I am so honored to be able to play for them and be a part of the Herd!” … Plans to major in nursing.
