A Marshall graduate and with previous head coaching experience, Andrea Deem joined the Marshall track and field staff for the 2022-23 season.
Deem (then Chidester), ran for the Herd from 2014-18. The Williamstown, West Virginia native was a four-time C-USA Academic Medalist, and was a three-time C-USA Championship participant.
Following graduation in Sport Management in 2018, Deem was hired as an assistant cross country and track and field at West Virginia Wesleyan, before being elevated to the head coaching position in 2021. She additionally received her Masters in Sport Science and Coaching in 2020 from West Virginia University.
