Anthony Chomat joined the Herd in August of 2022 as an Assistant Strenght and Conditioning Coach.
Prior to Marshall, Chomat was the primary strength and conditioning coach for the athletic department and oversaw all aspects of the strength and conditioning program at Salem University.
Previously, Chomat spent the 2018-2019 season as a Graduate Assistant for Men’s Basketball and Strength and Conditioning at Salem. Chomat assisted the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach with each of the Tigers’ 17 NCAA Division II athletics programs, as well as worked with the men’s basketball staff.
Chomat graduated from Salem with a degree in physiology and exercise science. He also completed his MBA in sport and recreation management at Salem. As an undergraduate, Chomat was a member of the Tiger men’s basketball and cross country teams.
Chomat is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and by USA Weightlifting (USAW) as a Sports Performance Coach Level 1. He is also a registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a Certified Speed and Agility Coach (CSAC) by the National Sport Performance Association (NSPA)Additionally, Chomat is certified by the American Red Cross for adult CPR and AED.
