Gabe Perrotta was named as an assistant coach for the Marshall Men's Soccer program in December 2025 after joining the Marshall staff prior to the 2025 season as a volunteer following his professional career as a goalkeeper with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
His professional soccer career came after finishing his collegiate career with the Thundering Herd in 2023 where he led the team to a No. 1 national ranking for the College Cup in the 2023 season.
During that year, Perrotta’s strong play led the Herd to 12 clean sheets in 21 matches. The Herd finished 18-3 and were Sun Belt Conference champions. Perrotta was named Goalkeeper of the Year in the Sun Belt Conference and was also named to the 2023 Sun Belt All-Conference Team.
Perrotta also earned his M.B.A. from Marshall in Finance while previously earning a Bachelor’s degree from UNC Wilmington where he served as captain on their men’s soccer team for three years prior to coming to Huntington.
